Why are my files being transferred so slow?
The speed at which the files are sent depends on the speed of your internet connection. The SendYourFiles servers can handle speeds up to 100 MB per second. If you feel that your files are being uploaded too slowly, this slowness is probably caused by your internet connection.
Most ISPs offer their customers higher download speeds than upload speeds. For example, using an average-speed internet connection (100 Kbps upload) a 100-MB file will be transferred in around 15 minutes.
The SendYourFiles software has been designed to use the maximum capacity of your connection, to make sure that your files are sent as quickly as possible. Sending files happens in the background, so you don't have to wait until the file is sent before you can use your computer to do something else.
Note that the SendYourFiles Windows software is the fastest and most reliable way to use SendYourFiles. If you are not using the SendYourFiles software yet, then try it!
